About Us

Kristen Montague is an experienced special education administrator and the founder of Elevate IEP, LLC. Elevate IEP was created to guide families through the special education process with expert insight and heartfelt support every step of the way. 

Her dedication to this work is deeply personal. As a parent of a child on the Autism Spectrum, Kristen entered the field of education to better understand the IEP process, the services available, and to ensure children with unique needs receive the support they deserve. What began as advocacy for her own child grew into a lifelong commitment to helping families navigate special education with clarity and confidence.

With experience starting in 2010 as an Education Specialist, Instructional Coach, and school administrator Kristen brings a comprehensive understanding of both instructional practices and administrative systems across elementary and secondary settings. She holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education, Administrative Services Credential, and she is known for her compassionate approach, clear communication, and ability to bridge the gap between families and schools.

Through Elevate IEP LLC, Kristen is committed to making the IEP process more accessible, transparent, and student-centered as well as helping families connect with local and statewide service providers and advocacy groups. 

She believes every child deserves an inclusive, flexible, and transformative education—and every family deserves a trusted guide who understands both the professional and personal sides of the journey.
